drive me crazy
i’ve been considering learning to drive in the not-so-distant future (i know, about time, right?!) and was getting quite excited about it until i remembered that, er… i’d have to like, pay.
doh.
anyway, i was looking up driving schools on the interweb regardless and came across one called: arrive alive.
a worthy sentiment, but i’m setting my standards a little higher.

LOL! Why would you call it that?! Wrong, wrong, wrong!
I saw a driving instructors car the other day and it had 10 lessons for £100 on it or something like that, I was so surprised cos that’s about what it cost when I learnt 21 years ago (21? god) anyway what I’m trying to say is I think you can get good deals with certain companies although not arrive alive of course!

Ooh, that is a good deal, but I’m so gormless I really hadn’t even considered that I’d have to pay at ALL… duh. x

I’m afraid I’d have to really recommend BSM. Yes, they’re the most expensive, but they also have no interest in stringing out your lessons endlessly just to keep getting your money.

Thanks Keris - that’s an interesting thought, actually! My first thought re. the big schools was they might not be as bothered about providing a good service. And I know someone in my city who had a bad experience with a lecherous BSM instructor which has put me off! However, they do some simulator lessons which I might try…

You can do some of it on the net as well apparently so someone was telling me recently, maybe the practice written part?
It only had one part when I learned and at the time the cost was prohibitive, so no change there then.
